The rapper is also known by the names Mr. Capalot as well as Polo Capalot. The ace Chicago Illinois rapper gained attention as he started uploading his tracks to YouTube. His first track was The Come Up and never Cared. He made his SoundCloud debut with OFFICIAL polo.g SoundCloud. Gang With Me became his debut number one hit single. The track was followed by the track Finer Thing. While in prison, he composed Finer Things. His breakthrough song, it has millions of YouTube hits, and has brought his name to the limelight. In the ensuing weeks, major labels expressed their interest. Pop Out, featuring Lil Tjay and Lil Tjay, finally came out after the rapper signed a Columbia Records distribution agreement. It reached the 22 position on Billboard Hot 100 and received millions of YouTube views. The song was the first single to chart for the artist. As time passed, Polo G became a YouTube star and gained popularity on other social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter.
